About the Role
You will own procurement, inventory strategy, purchasing workflows, vendor management, and operational finance for laboratory and R&D work. You will forecast inventory, reconcile invoices, track spending and experiment costs, implement scalable systems, and improve workflows through automation and reporting.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, operational finance, lab operations, supply chain, or related roles
- Experience supporting technical, scientific, manufacturing, hardware, or R&D environments
- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, spend tracking, and operational analytics
- Experience with procurement workflows, purchasing operations, and vendor management
- Experience with PO, accounting, and spend-management systems
- Process improvement experience
- Bachelor’s degree or similar experience
Responsibilities
- Own purchasing operations for lab consumables, materials, gases, chemicals, equipment, and supplies
- Develop inventory forecasting and consumption-tracking systems
- Analyze and track experiment costs across materials, compute, equipment, and overhead
- Manage purchase orders, invoice reconciliation, and three-way matching
- Track operating and capital expenditures against budgets
- Implement scalable procurement, inventory, and operational finance systems
- Improve workflows through automation, tooling, dashboards, and process optimization
- Manage supplier and vendor relationships, pricing negotiations, lead times, and agreements
- Identify operational bottlenecks and build infrastructure for high-throughput R&D
