About the Role

You will analyze changing laws and regulatory developments and translate them into practical guidance. You will advise cross-functional partners on compliance, maintain regulatory policies and analyses, support policy engagement, assess risks, implement updates, and create training materials.

Requirements

  • J.D. or equivalent law degree
  • Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
  • 5+ years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
  • Knowledge of U.S. financial-services, consumer-protection, privacy, and AI or ADMT regulations
  • Experience with GLBA, FCRA, UDAAP, PIPEDA, GDPR, state privacy laws, and related frameworks
  • Experience interpreting regulatory developments and advising business partners
  • Familiarity with regulatory-change management, compliance-program design, policy governance, risk assessments, control implementation, and compliance evidence
  • Legal judgment, analysis, issue spotting, organization, and written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze laws, regulations, guidance, enforcement activity, and industry developments
  • Translate regulatory developments into practical guidance
  • Answer regulatory-compliance questions for cross-functional teams
  • Maintain regulatory policies, positions, and analyses
  • Support engagement with policymakers, regulators, and government officials
  • Assess risks and implement relevant updates with operational partners
  • Create regulatory training and enablement materials
