About the Role
You will set the technical direction for AI-enabled automation across build, CI, testing, and release. You will build agent foundations and integrations, create evaluation and guardrail methods, deliver quality automations, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Production software engineering experience
- Python
- Rust or C++
- Experience shipping production AI-enabled tools or automation
- LLM API, agent harness, tool integration, and context engineering experience
- Experience evaluating nondeterministic systems
- CI/CD, testing, and release process knowledge
- Experience setting technical direction across teams
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for AI-enabled workflow automation.
- Build agent harnesses and integrations with GitLab, Jira, test results, logs, and observability data.
- Develop evaluation methods for automation effectiveness and correctness.
- Define AI autonomy guardrails, standards, and auditability.
- Deliver quality engineering automations for failure attribution, clustering, coverage analysis, and release readiness.
- Establish shared patterns, conduct design reviews, and mentor engineers.
- Choose appropriate agent, deterministic tool, or scripting solutions.
