About the Role
You will own technical content pipelines, procedural tooling, material systems, performance budgets, and content validation. You will build tools in Unreal Engine and Houdini, introduce AI-assisted workflows, profile and optimize GPU and CPU performance, prototype production solutions, and coordinate technical tradeoffs across content, rendering, simulation, ML, and product disciplines.
Requirements
- 8+ years as a technical artist or in a closely adjacent role
- Experience with a shipped product using a real-time physically based rendering pipeline
- Expert proficiency with Unreal Engine 5, including materials, Blueprints, performance profiling, asset pipelines, and rendering features
- Programming proficiency with Python, C++, HLSL, VEX, or shell
- Experience shipping adopted content or workflow systems
- Experience with LLM-based coding tools and generative content tooling
- Ability to work across content creation, tooling, rendering, performance, and pipeline work
Responsibilities
- Own asset pipelines, procedural tooling, material systems, performance budgets, and content validation
- Build and ship tools in Unreal Engine and Houdini
- Drive AI-augmented content workflows
- Profile and optimize GPU and CPU performance in Unreal Engine
- Translate tradeoffs between content fidelity and runtime performance
- Prototype and harden production solutions
- Use AI tooling for coding, scripting, and asset generation
