About the Role
You will translate industrial design intent into robust, manufacturable CAD geometry for physical products. You will develop complex surfaces, resolve assembly and packaging issues, iterate with designers and engineers, support prototypes and validation, and improve modeling and computational workflows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in CAD modeling, digital surfacing, Class-A surfacing, digital sculpting, or a related field
- Experience developing complex surface geometry for physical products
- Proficiency with professional CAD and surfacing tools such as Autodesk Alias, Rhino, CATIA, or NX
- Understanding of surface continuity, curvature, transitions, and surface quality
- Experience translating industrial design intent into manufacturable CAD geometry
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality surface geometry that meets design, mechanical, packaging, and manufacturing requirements
- Integrate industrial design surfaces with structural and mechanical systems
- Iterate geometry with Industrial Design and Mechanical Engineering
- Support prototypes, mockups, and production-intent assemblies
- Develop CAD geometry from early concepts through manufacturing
- Improve modeling, automation, and computational workflows
