About the Role
You will own spatial product experiences from discovery through prototyping, implementation, and iteration. You will research field workflows, design interactions for desktop 3D and AR/XR environments, build and test functional prototypes, and work with engineers to deliver interfaces that help users understand inspections, robot activity, findings, and exceptions.
Requirements
- Experience owning complex product experiences from discovery through delivery
- Strong spatial and interaction-design skills demonstrated through shipped products or substantial working prototypes
- Experience designing for AR/XR, 3D applications, robotics, technical tools, or similar environments
- Ability to build interactive prototypes in code or a real-time development environment
- Ability to collaborate on production implementation
- Judgment regarding attention, readability, input methods, hardware limitations, and physical surroundings
- Experience working directly with users
- Experience with Unity, Unreal, Three.js, React, or native XR frameworks
Responsibilities
- Research the tasks, constraints, and decisions of field operators, data analysts, and facility workers
- Define workflows and interactions for desktop 3D applications and AR/XR devices
- Build functional prototypes with representative spatial data and test them with users
- Contribute to interface implementation with product engineers
- Design experiences for understanding robot activity, inspection coverage, findings, and exceptions
- Establish interaction principles for spatial navigation, selection, annotation, information hierarchy, and feedback
- Evaluate task completion, comprehension, and operator workload to guide iteration
