About the Role
You will lead high-impact technical initiatives across the issuing and processing stack from inception through completion. You will own the technical roadmap, author scalable and secure system designs, write and review code, and optimize core processing engines. You will partner with product managers on requirements, mentor technical leads, establish success metrics, and promote software practices that improve resiliency, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- 12+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- Experience with software design principles, fault tolerance, scalability, cost, security, privacy, and test-driven development
- Experience partnering with product teams to bring solutions to market
- Experience developing and scaling microservices using cloud technologies, preferably AWS
- Experience with high-volume, low-latency data infrastructure
- Understanding of security engineering best practices and experience designing compliant solutions
- Experience building systems running in multiple regions
- Experience with Java, Springboot, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, Kafka, JPOS, and AWS services
Responsibilities
- Own the technical roadmap and author system designs for scalable, secure, and operationally efficient card issuing and payment processing products
- Write, review, and optimize code across the issuing and processing stack
- Drive technical initiatives that improve the performance, reliability, and cost efficiency of core processing engines
- Collaborate with Product Managers to analyze requirements and provide technical recommendations
- Mentor and guide technical leads, influence stakeholders, and establish success metrics
- Apply and evangelize modern software practices to improve platform resiliency and scalability
