About the Role
You will design, build, operate, and globally scale the microservices owned by your team. You will develop services using Java, Spring Boot, and JOOQ; expose and consume RESTful APIs; and use SNS, SQS, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Aurora. You will deploy to production through CI/CD pipelines, test software with JUnit and Pact, use GitOps with ArgoCD, and monitor and investigate services with Coralogix. You will work with Product Owners to translate user needs, business opportunities, and regulatory requirements into secure, well-tested, documented solutions.
Requirements
- Experience building server-side applications
- Knowledge of backend frameworks such as Spring or Spring Boot
- Experience building microservices that expose and consume RESTful APIs
- Experience engineering scalable and reliable cloud-native solutions
- Understanding of CI/CD and practical Agile delivery
- Commitment to delivering secure, well-tested, and well-documented software
- Experience integrating with third-party providers and partners
- Willingness to learn Java
Responsibilities
- Design, build, run, and scale team-owned microservices

- Send events using SNS, SQS, and Kafka
- Use PostgreSQL via Aurora as the primary datastore
- Deploy services to production using CI/CD pipelines
- Test software using JUnit and Pact
- Use GitOps with ArgoCD
- Monitor services and investigate issues with Coralogix
- Collaborate with Product Owners to translate user, business, and regulatory requirements into engineered solutions
