About the Role
You will design, build, operate, and globally scale the microservices your team owns. You will develop backend services, expose and consume RESTful APIs, integrate event-driven systems, and use cloud-native delivery practices. You will deploy frequently, monitor services, investigate issues, and work with Product Owners to translate user, business, and regulatory needs into well-engineered solutions.
Requirements
- Experience building server-side applications
- Knowledge of a backend framework such as Spring or Spring Boot
- Experience building microservices that expose and consume RESTful APIs
- Experience engineering scalable and reliable cloud-native solutions
- Understanding of CI/CD fundamentals and practical Agile delivery
- Ability to deliver secure, well-tested, and well-documented software
- Experience integrating with third-party providers and partners
- Willingness to learn Java
Responsibilities
- Design, build, operate, and scale event-driven microservices
- Develop services using Java, Spring Boot, and JOOQ
- Expose and consume RESTful APIs
- Send events using SNS, SQS, and Kafka
- Use PostgreSQL via Aurora as the primary datastore
- Deploy services to production through CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor services and investigate issues using DataDog
- Collaborate with Product Owners to translate user, business, and regulatory needs into engineering solutions
