About the Role

You will design and build user experiences for agentic AI products and enterprise AI applications. You will prototype and ship React and TypeScript interfaces, define AI interaction patterns, conduct research, establish reusable design patterns, measure usage, and iterate on delivered experiences.

Requirements

12+ years designing and building production software interfaces
Expert-level React and TypeScript
Portfolio of shipped tools or applications
Experience designing LLM-powered experiences
Knowledge of client and UI state management, the DOM, browser APIs, WebSockets, and Server-Sent Events
Experience with user research and usability testing
Experience with Git, code review, testing, and CI/CD
Experience with Linux, Docker, and Azure, GCP, or AWS
Ability to travel to a Shield AI location 1–3 times per quarter

Responsibilities

Design user experiences for agentic AI products and enterprise AI applications
Prototype and ship production React and TypeScript implementations
Design interaction patterns for streaming responses, citations, multimodal input, artifact sharing, and human review
Design interfaces for autonomy architectures and model-lifecycle tooling
Conduct user research and translate findings into design decisions
Research competing agentic and enterprise AI products
Establish reusable design patterns and component vocabulary
Instrument shipped experiences, analyze usage, and iterate
