About the Role
You will set actuator architecture and technical strategy from concept through high-volume manufacturing. You will establish CAD and documentation standards, partner with suppliers and manufacturing teams, mentor engineers, and manage technical risks through FMEAs, validation planning, and detailed analysis of moving assemblies.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Typically 12+ years of electromechanical product design, architecture, and launch experience
- Knowledge of rotating machinery, precision gear systems, bearing selection, sealing technologies, thermal management, and sensor packaging
- Experience bringing electromechanical assemblies through production release
- 3D CAD proficiency, preferably CATIA
- PLM proficiency
- GD&T and tolerance stack analysis expertise
- Experience leading cross-functional technical efforts
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to travel internationally 5%–10%
Responsibilities
- Drive mechanical architecture and the technology roadmap for actuator products
- Oversee technical execution from concept through high-volume manufacturing
- Establish CAD, drawing, GD&T, and tolerance-analysis best practices
- Partner with suppliers and manufacturing teams to optimize designs
- Mentor engineers and lead critical design reviews
- Manage technical risks through FMEAs, validation planning, and moving-assembly analysis
