About the Role

Design scalable Kubernetes control plane architectures, develop Operators and Custom Resource Definitions, optimize etcd, implement multi-tenant isolation, architect upgrades and federation, integrate GPU orchestration, lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and improve platform reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience
  • Deep hands-on expertise in Go
  • Extensive experience with the Kubernetes ecosystem
  • Experience operating, debugging, and scaling distributed systems in production
  • Understanding of multi-tenancy, cluster federation, and API governance
  • Familiarity with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and managed cloud services
  • Technical leadership and architectural decision-making skills
  • Ability to translate system requirements into engineering milestones

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable Kubernetes control plane architectures using Cluster API.
  • Develop custom Kubernetes Operators and Custom Resource Definitions.
  • Optimize etcd performance and distributed state management.
  • Implement secure multi-tenant isolation at the API server layer.
  • Architect zero-downtime upgrades and multi-cluster federation.
  • Integrate control planes with GPU orchestration layers.
  • Lead design reviews and mentor engineers.
  • Identify and mitigate control plane failure modes.
