About the Role
You will provide hands-on technical leadership for System Management. You will turn technical direction into delivery plans, guide architecture and implementation, develop management interfaces and automation, improve reliability and operational readiness, diagnose system issues, mentor engineers, and strengthen CI/CD and infrastructure practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant subject
- Experience designing, building, and operating Linux-based infrastructure or distributed systems
- Experience providing technical leadership across multiple teams or stakeholder groups
- Experience developing RESTful APIs
- Go programming experience
- Bash and Python automation experience
- Kubernetes and container runtime experience
- Infrastructure-as-Code experience
- Experience with Terraform or OpenTofu, Ansible, GitLab, GitHub Actions, and Git
- Experience with Redfish, IPMI, or equivalent hardware-management systems
- Linux systems engineering, troubleshooting, and operational debugging capability
- Technical mentoring and design-review experience
Responsibilities
- Convert System Management direction into technical plans, priorities, and deliverables
- Lead architecture and design decisions and document technical trade-offs
- Lead complex engineering initiatives and coordinate plans, dependencies, risks, and decisions
- Provide technical direction and mentoring across system management, hardware lifecycle management, deployment automation, and operations
- Deliver design, implementation, automated testing, integration, deployment, observability, and production readiness
- Identify and improve reliability, scalability, and operability issues
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, platform software, and data center operations teams to diagnose system-level issues
- Improve CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, automated testing, release safety, and incident learning
- Serve as a technical escalation point and create reusable tooling and automation
