About the Role
You will own the design and analysis of fluid and thermal systems for aircraft and ground platforms. You will develop thermal solutions, run simulations and tests, integrate systems into larger architectures, research technologies, manage suppliers, and mentor junior engineers from concept through production.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in fluid or thermal system design
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related engineering discipline
- Knowledge of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and thermal management
- Experience with commercial system-modeling tools such as MATLAB Simscape or Amesim
- Experience developing engineering models in Excel, MATLAB, or Python
- Experience with fluid and thermal system testing, sensor integration, data acquisition, and analysis
- Expertise with 3D CAD modeling tools such as Siemens NX
- Supplier management, COTS sourcing, optimization, and trade-study experience

- Own fluid and thermal system design and analysis for aircraft and ground platforms
- Develop and implement thermal solutions
- Use first-principles engineering to make design decisions
- Research technologies for complex system integration
- Conduct simulations to predict performance and refine designs
- Execute testing, data acquisition, post-processing, and verification
- Integrate fluid and thermal designs into larger system architectures
- Mentor junior engineers
- Identify suppliers and manage component and system procurement relationships
