About the Role
You will operate a press brake to bend, shape, cut, and manipulate sheet metal and metal plates into tools, equipment, and other components. You will set up and adjust the machine according to product plans and schedules, manage and measure raw materials, inspect finished products, perform routine maintenance, and keep your work area clean. You will follow instructions, interpret product plans, and support related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate press brake controls
- Ability to follow instructions and interpret product plans
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 8 hours or more daily
- Ability to pass a background check
- Negative drug and alcohol test
- Drug and alcohol program participation
- Knowledge of metals and their properties is beneficial
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or 5S methodologies is beneficial
Responsibilities
- Operate a press brake to manufacture components from sheet metal and metal plates
- Prepare, set up, and adjust the press brake
- Ensure sufficient raw materials are available
- Measure and align materials
- Inspect finished pieces for quality compliance
- Perform routine press brake maintenance
- Maintain a clean work area
- Perform related duties as assigned
