About the Role
You'll oversee the day-to-day cash operations of a premium agency, acting as the trusted link between the safe, the agents, and the treasury system. You'll manage the flow of cash between the Safe and PCA accounts, count bills at the end of each day, and produce accurate daily statements. You'll make sure every cash transaction is properly logged in the treasury system and that funds are promptly requested to keep agents and clients rebalanced. You'll coordinate cash pickups and deliveries with cash-in-transit companies, flag any discrepancies or challenges raised by Premium Cash Assistants, and report any counterfeit bills you come across. You'll also help keep the office secure and well-equipped, and you'll escalate any feedback that could affect the agency's operations to management.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a cashier in cash management, reconciliation, liquidity management, cash handling, or delivery
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or an equivalent
- Strong proficiency in French
- Previous experience in front-office customer service or in the banking sector
- Work authorization in Mali is required
Responsibilities
- Manage cash in and out between the Safe and PCA accounts
- Hold end-of-day bill counting and produce a daily bill counting statement
- Ensure that all cash management transactions are correctly recorded in the treasury system
- Promptly request sufficient funds to ensure rebalance with agents/clients
- Ensure transactions with cash-in-transit companies (Cash in/Cash out)
- Report discrepancies or challenges encountered by Premium Cash Assistants
- Report fake bills to management
- Ensure that furniture and materials are in good use and that the office is well secured
- Manage and escalate relevant feedback to management that may impact the agency's activity
