About the Role
You will integrate and validate power systems across robotic hardware, firmware, thermal systems, controls, and use cases. You will design power-bus measurements, expand performance limits, debug embedded systems, troubleshoot integration issues, analyze logs, document root causes, and help maintain embedded-software development and version-control workflows.
Requirements
- Pursuing a senior Bachelor’s degree or recently graduated in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Robotics, or a related field.
- Availability for a minimum 10-week internship; one to two terms preferred.
- Understanding of battery design and operational considerations.
- Proficiency with Linux.
- Electrical understanding of systems and components.
Responsibilities
- Design and conduct measurements to characterize power-bus performance and validate robust-operation strategies.
- Develop methods to expand the performance envelope while considering cross-functional impacts.
- Integrate and validate software on robotic hardware with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Debug embedded systems using oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Troubleshoot system-level integration issues, analyze performance logs, and document root causes.
- Maintain development environments and version-control workflows for embedded software releases.
