About the Role

You will perform electro-optic testing and characterization of silicon photonics chips and components. You will operate optical and semiconductor test equipment, design and execute test protocols, and develop automated testing and system interfaces with Python. You will translate test data into actionable strategies for photonics devices and subsystems.

Requirements

• Recent PhD graduate or PhD candidate in Photonics
• Understanding of silicon photonics
• Experience in electro-optic component testing
• Experience developing automated testing systems using Python scripting
• Ability to translate data into actionable strategies
• Ability to solve complex technical problems in a lab environment
• Written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Participate in electro-optic testing of photonics chips and devices
• Conduct characterization of silicon photonics components
• Operate optical instruments and semiconductor test equipment
• Design and execute test protocols for silicon photonics chips and subsystems
• Develop automated testing and system interfacing through Python scripting
