About the Role
You will run payroll for United States and international entities, including payroll changes, bonuses, commissions, and equity compensation. You will administer stock in Carta, close payroll and equity monthly, manage payroll tax compliance, establish controls and documentation, automate manual work, and support accounting operations.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of progressive payroll experience
- Experience owning United States and international payroll
- Payroll tax knowledge, including registrations, multi-state nexus, and year-end forms
- Knowledge of payroll compliance, tax regulations, and reporting requirements
- Knowledge of equity compensation mechanics
- Ability to use Carta
- Journal entry, accrual, and reconciliation experience
- Ability to reconcile and resolve discrepancies
Responsibilities
- Run end-to-end payroll for United States and international entities
- Administer equity grants, exercises, terminations, repurchases, tax, and reporting in Carta
- Close payroll and equity each month
- Manage payroll tax registrations, mobile employees, and year-end filings
- Write documentation and build payroll controls
- Automate manual payroll processes
- Support travel and expense, accounts payable, and month-end reconciliations
