About the Role

You will support United States multi-state and international payroll processing, global contractor payments, payroll audits, state tax accounts, benefits administration, equity payroll reporting, and reimbursement integrations. You will answer employee payroll questions, maintain audit-ready documentation, support close and compliance activities, reconcile payroll data, and improve payroll processes and controls.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on payroll experience
• Experience managing United States state agency accounts
• Knowledge of California wage statement, meal and rest break, and final pay requirements
• Experience with a payroll or HRIS platform
• Reconciliation skills across benefits deductions, 401(k) matches, and payroll-to-general-ledger tie-outs
• Excel and Google Sheets skills
• Knowledge of United States payroll tax compliance
• Ability to communicate payroll and benefits information

Responsibilities

• Support United States multi-state and international payroll processing
• Run monthly global contractor payroll cycles
• Reconcile benefit deductions, 401(k) deferrals, employer matches, payroll journals, and deduction exports
• Support state employer tax account registration and maintenance
• Assist with 401(k) and benefits administration
• Support equity and stock-exercise payroll reporting
• Manage the Rippling-to-NetSuite reimbursement approval chain
• Resolve employee payroll inquiries and escalate complex cases
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and support close and compliance activities
• Implement process improvements that reduce manual work and strengthen controls
