About the Role
You will prepare and execute Level 2 kernel certifications, coordinate testing with external laboratories, analyze APDU traces and transaction flows, investigate failures, guide developers toward fixes, manage certification timelines, and communicate with payment schemes about requirements and waivers.
Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of hands-on Level 2 certification experience for contact and contactless kernels
- Have strong knowledge of EMVCo contact and contactless specifications
- Understand terminal application flow CVM processing and cryptogram generation
- Be comfortable with EMV test tooling and card simulators
- Be able to read APDU traces
- Have excellent technical communication skills
- Drive results and organize certification cycles independently
- Be detail-oriented
Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute Level 2 kernel certifications
- Coordinate certification testing with external laboratories
- Translate test results into actionable engineering guidance
- Investigate failures at the APDU and transaction-flow level
- Identify root causes and guide kernel fixes
- Manage the certification calendar and submission timelines
- Communicate with payment schemes about requirements and waivers
- Track EMVCo specifications scheme bulletins and test plan updates
