About the Role

You will support project leads with literature reviews, research design, experiments, data analysis, forecast aggregation, and forecasting tournaments. You will turn complex topics into forecastable questions, respond to forecaster requests, and collect historical data for tournament questions.

Requirements

  • Generalist research skills
  • Clear and explicit communication skills
  • Strong writing skills
  • Familiarity with and interest in quantitative forecasting
  • Ability to work productively in a self-directed remote environment
  • Comfort with new challenges and learning new tools

Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature reviews
  • Distill complex topics into forecastable questions
  • Respond to forecasters’ questions and clarification requests
  • Assist with designing and conducting experiments
  • Analyze data and aggregate forecasts
  • Help run forecasting tournaments
  • Collect historical data for forecasting questions
