About the Role
You will join Carta's Funds team within Carta Law, working alongside embedded AI agents to deliver investor onboarding, transaction KYC, and high-volume legal work. As a Junior Paralegal, you will rotate across or specialize within one of three practice areas depending on your strengths and interests, building commercial and legal expertise over time and gaining opportunities to take ownership of client accounts.
Requirements
- Eager to learn and grow, motivated and curious about developing expertise in legal practice
- Organised and efficient, able to prioritize and manage competing deadlines
- Strong communicator, able to write and speak clearly and professionally
- Self-starter who takes initiative and works independently
- Team player able to collaborate with lawyers, senior paralegals, and client-facing teams
- Undergraduate Law degree or equivalent preferred
- Prior exposure to LP Transfer processes is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Prepare initial drafts of LP transfer documents including transfer agreements, consents, and subscription agreements
- Liaise with transfer parties on process and timings, and assist with execution workflows
- Work closely with lawyers and senior paralegals, contributing to high-quality client delivery across fast-moving, high-volume matters
- Build commercial and legal expertise over time, with opportunities to take ownership of client accounts and progress towards qualification via the SQE route
