About the Role
You'll own the prompt intake and first-round markup of investment-related NDAs and related documents, making sure nothing sits in a queue too long and that tight client turnaround times are consistently met. You'll support Carta's UK lawyers with first-round drafting and ad hoc legal work, handling volume so attorneys can focus on complexity. You'll set up and coordinate client workflows, manage document portals, and drive contracts through to execution, giving clients a seamless and professional experience at every step. You'll be expected to deliver crisp, commercially sound contract support that reflects precision while balancing speed with attention to detail. You'll report to a Supervising Attorney in EMEA and work alongside Carta's UK lawyers and embedded AI agents to deliver high-volume contract work at a pace traditional law firms can't match.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience recommended working within a transactional or corporate practice group, or an in-house commercial legal team
- Hands-on exposure to commercial contracts and investment-related NDA drafting
- Ability to thrive in high-volume deadline-driven environments and context-switch between competing demands
- Strong grasp of relevant legal concepts and commercial pragmatism
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Self-starter with a builder's mindset
- Exposure to private capital, fund structures, or investor onboarding workflows is a strong plus
