About the Role
You will provide technical support for data-collection sites, diagnose issues across rigs, teleoperation and capture systems, and build tools that make operations reliable. You will create observability, route issues to the appropriate engineering owners, support new-site launches, and maintain runbooks, documentation, and training materials.
Requirements
- 0–5 years of experience supporting and improving complex robotics or hardware/software systems in a production environment, or at least two years of experience with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Robotics
- Ability to read technical logs and interpret data across hardware and software
- Python, SQL, or equivalent scripting and data skills
- Communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work autonomously across multiple sites and stakeholder groups
- Sound judgment under pressure
- Hands-on comfort with rigs, sensors, cameras, and cabling
- Ability to support evening shifts and occasional urgent coverage
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve issues across collection rigs, teleoperation systems, capture systems, and operational software
- Build operator-facing interfaces, checklists, and automations
- Build observability for rig health, calibration drift, capture-pipeline status, and alerts
- Route issues by fixing them or creating prioritized engineering requests
- Translate engineering changes into documentation, standard operating procedures, and training
- Partner with site technicians on systems-level diagnosis and escalation
- Prioritize failures and workflow friction using operational data
- Support rig installation, station configuration, and new-site launches
- Create and maintain documentation and runbooks
