About the Role
You will own and evolve the organisational ontology that supports workflow projects. You will prioritise change requests, assess ontology impacts, coordinate data-source integration, and ensure governance, access, maintenance, and roadmap alignment.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, ontology design, data modeling, data engineering, analytics engineering, enterprise data platforms, or a related field
- 3+ years overseeing complex cross-functional data initiatives
- Experience designing conceptual, logical, or semantic data models
- Hands-on experience with data pipelines and production data workflows
- Knowledge of databases, schemas, metadata, and data quality
- Experience partnering across engineering, operations, governance, and business teams
- Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Own and develop the organisational ontology
- Manage and prioritise the ontology backlog
- Evaluate new objects and ontology changes
- Partner on new data-source ingestion requests
- Contribute to use-case architecture and data-sourcing discussions
- Maintain the ontology and understand relevant data sources
- Collaborate on ontology integration and design impacts
- Ensure governance-compliant access to ontology data
- Develop scalable governance-check processes
- Align ontology development with the programme roadmap
