About the Role
You will lead network implementation across data centers, network edges, points of presence, and backbone routes. You will coordinate designs, suppliers, site work, testing, closeout, and service changes while managing schedules, risks, and implementation documentation.
Requirements
- Experience leading network implementation across data centers, network edges, or carrier networks
- Hands-on experience with fiber routes, cross-connects, equipment installation, and site readiness
- Ability to read network designs and assess physical and logical test results
- Experience coordinating engineers, site teams, and suppliers across concurrent projects
- Working knowledge of optical transport, lit services, wavelengths, dark fiber, and acceptance requirements
- Experience maintaining closeout packages and drawings and resolving issues
Responsibilities
- Support design planning by checking supplier lead times, equipment availability, and site readiness
- Drive deployments, refreshes, replacements, labs, and special projects
- Coordinate fiber paths, site access, optics, local technicians, and cross-connect orders
- Maintain schedules, dependencies, recovery plans, and network milestones
- Own network-edge implementation drawings and route technical changes for approval
- Manage circuit delivery through activation and validate work against approved designs
- Build closeout packages with drawings, records, test results, and approvals
- Manage service changes, upgrades, disconnections, carrier escalations, and restoration follow-up
- Provide Supply Chain with service records for billing corrections or credits
- Develop implementation runbooks, playbooks, and acceptance checklists
- Maintain delivery tools, supplier portals, inventory, drawings, and project records
- Raise risks, remove blockers, and track improvements through completion
