About the Role
You will join a global network engineering team and help enhance a world-leading network platform at the forefront of the world's financial markets. You will design, implement and operate the network, investigate new innovative products, refresh low latency trading systems, and troubleshoot with third parties in a fast-moving, varied environment. You will transform ways of working with automation and scale, collaborating with software engineers who solve complex problems through automation and software.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering
- Real-world network automation experience
- Configuration Management with one of Ansible, Salt, Puppet or Chef
- Python or other programming languages
- Expert in routing and switching including BGP, OSPF and Multicast
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP and the OSI model
- Good prioritization skills and ability to switch tasks on varying projects
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Comfortable working with various Linux utilities and different operating systems
- Network security including Fortinet, Palo Alto or CheckPoint firewalls
- SQL
- Bachelor's degree preferably in IT, Computer Science or a related discipline
