About the Role
You will build and maintain the machines layer, including bare-metal and cloud hosts and the control plane that provisions, images, monitors, and repairs them. You will automate capacity integration and fleet health, troubleshoot systems across hardware and software layers, and participate in on-call incident response.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience writing high-quality production code
- Experience operating physical hardware fleets or building their control planes
- Strong cloud skills
- Knowledge of Linux kernel, drivers, networking, file systems, and containers
- Ability to debug across hardware and software layers
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and respond to production incidents
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain machine-layer infrastructure
- Provision, image, monitor, and repair physical and cloud hosts
- Automate integration of new hardware capacity
- Audit and benchmark hosts and clusters
- Configure GPUs, RDMA, networking, and storage
- Automate detection of unhealthy GPUs, thermals, and disks
- Debug issues across hardware and software layers
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to production incidents
