About the Role
You will own end-to-end infrastructure spanning cloud architecture, production fleets, petabyte-scale object storage, data pipelines, and CI/CD. You will make architecture decisions for future scale, build solutions from infrastructure design through application code, and set technical direction while hiring and growing the infrastructure function. You will work hands-on with research and product engineering on system design, deployment, and operations.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on production cloud and storage experience
- Experience owning Terraform, IAM, Kubernetes, and object storage on a major cloud
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with large-scale distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of storage, query engines, consistency, and production operations
- Experience building infrastructure from scratch
- Hands-on infrastructure leadership, including setting technical direction and raising engineering standards
- Ability to work across low-level infrastructure and application code
- Ability to exercise judgment under ambiguity
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end cloud, storage, data-pipeline, and CI/CD infrastructure
- Design and operate architecture and production infrastructure fleets
- Manage petabyte-scale object storage for gameplay video
- Plan systems for growth in data, traffic, and team scale
- Build solutions from infrastructure design through application code
- Set the infrastructure technical direction
- Hire and grow the infrastructure team
- Define system design, review, deployment, and operational practices
- Support research and product engineering with system design
