About the Role
You will design and build dependable agentic systems using LLMs, retrieval, structured tool use, and structured outputs. You will optimize workflows for latency, context management, and model selection; make architectural decisions; and write modular, resilient Python code. You will create automated and human-in-the-loop evaluations, benchmark datasets, experiments, and A/B tests. You will prototype frontier capabilities, deploy workflows into low-latency environments, and build monitoring, guardrails, and versioning.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building production-grade systems
- 1–2+ years focused on LLM-powered or agentic products
- Fluency with LLM APIs, prompting strategies, and orchestration patterns
- Experience with retrieval systems, vector databases, kNN, function calling, tool use, or agentic workflows
- Experience with model evaluation, dataset development, automated and human-in-the-loop evaluations, and A/B testing
- Strong Python fundamentals and comprehensive test-case design
- Ability to work from the San Francisco or New York City office at least three days per week
Responsibilities
- Design and build agentic LLM systems using retrieval, tool use, reasoning, and structured outputs
- Scale and optimize agentic workflows with ML and infrastructure engineers
- Write modular, resilient code
- Own workflow architecture, data flow, caching, and generative-output structure
- Build benchmark datasets and automated and human-in-the-loop evaluation frameworks
- Design experiments, stress-test workflows, run A/B tests, and analyze clinician feedback
- Prototype with new models, open-source tools, and prompting techniques
