About the Role
You will own APIs from design through monitoring and documentation. You will build asynchronous workflows, improve database performance, implement security and billing-related systems, strengthen reliability, and improve developer documentation, SDKs, and tooling.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building production APIs
- Strong TypeScript experience
- Experience owning infrastructure, monitoring, logging, metrics, and incident response
- Knowledge of API design patterns, REST principles, and asynchronous workflows
- Experience with relational databases and query optimization
- Experience designing production systems using AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud primitives
- Ability to rapidly prototype and iterate
Responsibilities
- Own public and internal APIs through design, implementation, monitoring, optimization, and documentation
- Design and implement asynchronous workflows
- Optimize Postgres queries and database performance
- Build rate limiting, fraud detection, and credit management systems
- Implement API security, authentication, monitoring, and reliability systems
- Improve public API documentation, SDKs, and tooling
- Improve codebase performance, reliability, and quality
