About the Role
You will inspect mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished goods; execute metal fabrication and assembly process audits; document quality standards and non-conformances; verify compliance with codes, specifications, and engineering standards; support design improvements; and assist with calibration of mechanical inspection equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least five years of experience in metal fabrication manufacturing and/or quality inspection
- Knowledge of materials used in metal component and structural fabrication
- Basic computer skills with Word and Excel experience
- Ability to lift, lower, push, and pull items up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 8 hours or more daily
- Detail-driven approach
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High-level analytical ability and decision-making
- Ability to pass a background check
- Required participation in a drug and alcohol program
Responsibilities
- Inspect mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished goods
- Execute metal forming, fabrication, and mechanical assembly process audits
- Document quality standards and specifications
- Collaborate with quality management to standardize and train personnel on quality standards
- Document material non-conformances
- Collaborate with safety, engineering, and manufacturing teams on design improvements
- Verify compliance with regulatory codes, customer specifications, engineering standards, and company procedures
- Assist with the mechanical inspection equipment calibration program
