About the Role

You support anti-money laundering, know-your-customer, know-your-business, and transaction monitoring activities. You review AML documentation, complete client risk assessments, conduct customer due diligence using databases and screening tools, monitor existing clients, perform enhanced due diligence, conduct periodic reviews, investigate suspicious activity alerts, document findings, escalate risks, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve tasks on time.

Requirements

  • Approximately 1 year of experience in a compliance or AML role
  • Experience with KYB and KYC processes, including reviewing CDD and EDD packs, completing risk assessments, and making risk-based onboarding decisions, and/or experience with transaction monitoring
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Working knowledge of GSuite and Microsoft Office
  • Practical experience with PEP and sanctions screening tools and resolving true or false positive matches
  • Experience in a fintech, payments, e-money, fast-paced, or high-growth environment
  • Familiarity with UK and/or EU regulatory frameworks
  • Professional certification such as ICA or CAMS is desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

  • Review AML documentation against policies and complete risk assessments for new and re-opened clients
  • Conduct customer due diligence using databases, screening tools, and PEP and sanctions lists
  • Monitor existing clients on an ongoing basis and perform enhanced due diligence for higher-risk clients
  • Conduct periodic reviews of existing clients, maintain clear records, and document findings
  • Investigate transaction monitoring alerts to identify suspicious or unusual activity
  • Identify unusual or potentially suspicious patterns and escalate them when appropriate
  • Work closely with internal teams to maintain clear communication and resolve tasks on time
