About the Role
You will develop test plans, set up and calibrate measurement instruments, acquire and clean data, perform statistical and engineering analyses, create technical reports and user manuals, develop mechanical designs and CAD models, analyze test results, and support systems engineering and project-management activities.
Requirements
- 0–2 years of mechanical engineering experience
- Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
- Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- U.S. person status or eligibility to obtain required export authorization
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate measurement instruments
- Perform instrument calibrations
- Develop test plans, risk assessments, and resource allocations
- Acquire, clean, and analyze test data
- Perform statistical analysis and hypothesis testing
- Create technical reports and user manuals
- Develop and analyze mechanical designs
- Create 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings
- Perform CFD, structural, dynamic, thermal, and tolerance analyses
- Develop program plans and manage risks
- Manage procurement, vendor evaluation, supplier performance, and contracts
