About the Role
You will lead day-to-day materials-management operations across fulfillment, distribution, and storage centers. You will manage staff, inventory receipt and issuance, safety, quality, storage controls, audits, cost savings, process improvement, and customer service. You will support 24/7 operations and adapt processes to changing business needs.
Requirements
- Advanced degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or 9+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in material or production planning, purchasing, distribution, operations or supply chain management, material cost control, or master production scheduling
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical job functions
- Ability to work all shifts, extended hours, and weekends as needed
- Ability to provide 24/7 on-call support in emergencies
- Ability to travel domestically up to 20% as needed
Responsibilities
- Perform administrative duties, including timecard compliance, scheduling, reviews, supply ordering, mentoring, and training
- Maintain operational targets for fulfillment, distribution, and storage centers
- Develop operational strategy, business metrics, and goals
- Manage a multi-level organization across four shift patterns supporting 24/7 operations
- Monitor safety and improve operations to achieve zero OSHA recordables
- Ensure storage practices meet quality, AS9100, and customer requirements
- Manage inventory receipt, acceptance, storage, and issuance
- Lead cost-saving and optimization opportunities
- Maintain inventory accuracy and audit-ready process controls
- Drive process-improvement projects
- Monitor shelf life and maintain FIFO stock rotation
- Ensure required environmental controls for stored materials
- Manage internal and external storage
- Mentor and develop team members
