About the Role
You will design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN networks and Linux infrastructure across manufacturing sites. You will configure switching, routing, firewalls, redundancy, wireless systems, and automation; monitor performance; document infrastructure; support incidents and on-call operations; and contribute to manufacturing IT and OT modernization projects.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of network and Linux infrastructure engineering experience
- Linux administration experience with Rocky Linux or RHEL, DNS, DHCP, and NFS
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and ISP failover
- Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tooling
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, switching, and network security
- Experience with Cisco, Arista, Juniper, or industrial switches
- Knowledge of NIST-aligned cybersecurity practices
- Experience with industrial wireless networking and monitoring platforms
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours incidents
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure across manufacturing, warehouse, cloud, and corporate sites
- Implement high-speed core switching and resilient network fabric designs
- Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2/3 networking, firewalls, VPNs, NAC, IDS/IPS, and ISP failover
- Deploy and maintain Linux servers using Ansible, MAAS, Foreman, and scripting
- Monitor network and system performance and resolve issues proactively
- Design redundancy, failover, QoS, and traffic-engineering strategies
- Manage cabling, Wi-Fi infrastructure, and plant-floor networking hardware
- Maintain topology diagrams, IPAM, and operating procedures
- Provide Tier 2/3 support and participate in on-call rotation
