About the Role
You will design and deliver cloud-native observability platforms, define monitoring standards, and build telemetry pipelines. You will optimize alerting, analyze performance data, integrate Grafana and Prometheus, develop cloud software, guide architecture, and mentor engineers on reliable and secure platform practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or master's degree and 3 years of relevant experience
- Cloud-native software development experience
- Infrastructure-as-code automation experience
- Observability engineering experience in enterprise Kubernetes and Linux distributed environments
- Python, C++, and Golang expertise
- Linux, Kubernetes, and AWS Cloud Services expertise
- Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and CI/CD expertise
- Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and Fluentd expertise
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver enterprise-scale cloud platforms
- Define observability standards, metrics, dashboards, and alerting strategies
- Establish SLIs, SLOs, and telemetry collection frameworks
- Develop OpenTelemetry components and pipelines
- Optimize monitoring and observability systems
- Design alerting rules and escalation procedures
- Analyze metrics to identify performance bottlenecks
- Create stakeholder visualizations and reports
- Improve data retention and archiving strategies
- Integrate Grafana and Prometheus with infrastructure platforms
- Develop cloud-based software applications
- Mentor junior team members
- Define and implement application architecture
- Review and validate test plans
- Advise senior management on technical strategy
