About the Role
You will support manufacturing equipment used on assembly lines. You will troubleshoot production issues, create and manage maintenance programs, write operating procedures, validate processes, train equipment operators, investigate failures, and implement equipment and process improvements.
Requirements
- Experience with high-tech manufacturing tools and automation
- Willingness to travel occasionally to equipment vendor locations
- Familiarity with drills, soldering irons, wire crimping, and compressed-air fittings
- Ability to independently own projects
- Previous experience working with complex manufacturing equipment
- Attention to detail in documentation and organization
- Ability to safely lift and transport materials up to 50 lbs
- Communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide technician-level support for manufacturing equipment
- Troubleshoot production issues as the first point of contact
- Develop and manage a preventative maintenance program
- Maintain spare-parts supply
- Write maintenance and equipment-operation procedures
- Operate equipment during initial process validation builds
- Train operators and associates to operate equipment
- Support line setup and process validation
- Support failure root-cause investigations
- Support cycle-time studies
- Implement equipment and process improvements for safety, quality, and throughput
