About the Role
You will lead propulsion test planning and execution from component development through flight readiness. You will oversee test stands, fixtures, instrumentation, and safety systems, while guiding test objectives and data analysis. You will coordinate facility readiness and supplier support, troubleshoot test issues, and develop test processes and operational standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- 7–10+ years of experience in propulsion testing or aerospace development programs
- Understanding of thermodynamics fluid mechanics heat transfer and aerospace propulsion
- Understanding of gas turbine engine testing instrumentation transient response and propulsion system integration
- Hands-on experience designing or operating propulsion test stands and facilities
- Experience leading technical teams and coordinating complex test operations
- U.S. citizenship or ability to comply with ITAR requirements
Responsibilities
- Lead propulsion test planning and execution through flight readiness
- Oversee the design analysis and construction of test stands fixtures instrumentation and safety systems
- Support test objectives instrumentation strategies and data-analysis methods
- Guide thermodynamic analysis transient characterization thermal evaluation and operability validation
- Drive root-cause investigations and rapid troubleshooting during testing
- Coordinate test schedules facility readiness staffing and supplier support
- Align propulsion testing with vehicle milestones and program priorities
- Develop test processes standards and operational best practices
