About the Role
You will oversee and manage legal affairs, focusing on drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements. You will advise internal stakeholders on legal risks and mitigation strategies for new initiatives and partnerships. You will manage litigation and dispute resolution, liaise with external counsel, and prepare legal documentation. You will ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and licensing requirements, particularly relating to fintech and digital assets. You will support corporate governance by preparing board resolutions, policy reviews and statutory filings. You will monitor regulatory developments and provide guidance on compliance impact. You will collaborate with Product, Compliance, Finance and Risk teams to align activities with legal frameworks.
Requirements
- LLB or LLM degree from a recognized university
- 5 to 8 years of post-qualification legal experience
- Experience in Fintech, Payments or Digital Asset companies preferred
- Strong understanding of contract law, financial regulations and technology-related legal issues
- Experience interacting with regulatory authorities (e.g., VARA, MAS, FIU) is advantageous
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and provide practical legal solutions
Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, partnership agreements, NDAs and technology contracts
- Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks and mitigation strategies for new initiatives, products and partnerships
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution, liaise with external counsel and prepare legal documentation
- Ensure operations comply with laws, regulations and licensing requirements, particularly in fintech and digital assets
- Support corporate governance, including board resolutions, policy reviews and statutory filings
- Monitor regulatory developments in fintech, crypto and financial services and advise management on impact and compliance
- Collaborate with Product, Compliance, Finance and Risk teams to align activities with legal frameworks
