About the Role

You will lead the Collateral Operations team and oversee collateral workflows supporting securities lending. You will manage margining, settlements, reconciliations, exposure monitoring, funding movements, exception reporting, operational controls, process improvements, projects, stakeholder relationships, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Experience in collateral management and securities lending operations
  • Experience with margining and exposure reconciliation across bilateral and triparty structures
  • Understanding of securities lending workflows, collateralization practices, and operational risk controls
  • Knowledge of U.S. and Canadian regulatory frameworks
  • Experience with Pirum, EquiLend, and SBL systems
  • Familiarity with triparty agents, custodians, and depositories
  • Experience with Power BI or Python for analysis and automation
  • People management experience
  • Problem-solving and process improvement skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Collateral Operations team
  • Act as the escalation point for complex issues
  • Oversee collateral workflows across bilateral and triparty arrangements
  • Monitor exposures and collateral coverage requirements
  • Manage workflow distribution, capacity planning, and operational priorities
  • Review exception reports, exposure metrics, and operational KPIs
  • Drive process improvements and update standard operating procedures
  • Lead cross-functional projects and process changes
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders, custodians, and counterparties
  • Ensure adherence to collateral guidelines, controls, and regulations
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Oversee funding requirements and movement of cash and securities
