About the Role

You will take ownership of logistics safety across Bhutan's domestic and cross-border transportation network. You'll conduct on-site route surveys, design optimal and safe routing plans, and keep safety assessments current through regular reinspections. You'll set up round-the-clock centralized monitoring using GPS tracking and shift-based oversight to maintain full visibility of cargo in transit. You'll track shipments through to final delivery, verifying schedules and securing proof of receipt to close out each delivery. You'll review compliance documents, shipping papers, customs records and certifications to keep the entire logistics chain clean and risk-free. You'll build and maintain emergency response plans covering customs delays, cargo damage, GPS anomalies, accidents and border issues, and you'll document and review every incident to sharpen future prevention. You'll analyze monitoring data such as on-time delivery, exception rates and clearance times to continuously refine the monitoring approach, and you'll operate and optimize the GPS tracking platform in coordination with vendors. You'll maintain thorough archives of all safety documentation, help establish a standardized safety management system for local operations, and carry out regular safety and compliance audits across warehousing, transport, customs and delivery. You'll also compile and distribute daily, weekly and monthly logistics reports to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Preferably 3 years of working experience in cross-border logistics safety management, monitoring and GPS tracking
  • Experience in on-site route survey, cross-border clearance safety management, GPS anti-theft equipment monitoring and central control information monitoring systems preferred
  • Fluent in English (oral and written), able to draft safety and compliance documents and communicate with customs and partners
  • Able to undertake on-site route surveys, cross-regional business trips and 7x24 on-call response and shift work
  • Proficient in Bhutanese import/export customs regulatory requirements and cross-border transportation safety standards
  • Able to establish local logistics safety management systems independently
  • Excellent coordination skills for handling abnormal incidents with customs brokers, shipping companies and transportation companies
  • Solid hands-on experience in on-site route surveys, risk assessments and routing plans
  • Solid skills in document management and data statistical analysis
  • Proficient in Excel, logistics management systems and GPS tracking platforms

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site surveys for domestic and cross-border transportation routes in Bhutan and design optimal routing plans
  • Reinspect key routes regularly and update route safety assessments and transportation solutions
  • Set up 24-hour centralized information monitoring and GPS control mechanisms for cross-border logistics
  • Track inland transportation and last-mile delivery status and verify delivery schedules
  • Obtain official proof of receipt and complete full delivery closure
  • Verify safety compliance materials, shipping documents, customs papers and qualification certificates
  • Formulate emergency plans for potential safety risks across all logistics stages
  • Record and archive handling processes, results and loss situations of abnormal events
  • Conduct statistical analysis on core logistics monitoring data and key indicators
  • Optimize logistics monitoring rules based on business development and post-incident reviews
  • Perform daily operation, maintenance and optimization of the GPS tracking platform
  • Coordinate with GPS device suppliers and logistics system vendors to resolve technical issues
  • Archive logistics safety documents including route survey reports and compliance credentials
  • Build standardized logistics safety control systems for Bhutan local operations
  • Conduct regular safety and compliance audits for local logistics operations
  • Issue safety audit reports and formulate rectification plans
  • Distribute daily logistics monitoring reports and compile weekly and monthly summary reports
