About the Role
You will build, operate, and optimize Linux compute and storage infrastructure. You will administer systems, automate provisioning and configuration, manage storage, monitor performance, troubleshoot complex issues, apply networking and security practices, and maintain technical documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- 5+ years of Linux system administration experience
- Experience with CentOS, Ubuntu, and Red Hat
- System tuning and performance optimization expertise
- Shell scripting proficiency
- Python or Perl scripting knowledge
- Experience with Ansible, PXE, and Kickstart
- Experience with NetApp, Ceph, and ZFS
- Experience with Nagios, Zabbix, and Prometheus
- Knowledge of Openlava or Slurm
- Networking and security best practices knowledge
- RHCE or CCNA preferred
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Linux-based systems
- Develop and maintain Shell scripts for automation
- Manage NetApp, Ceph, and ZFS storage systems
- Implement automation for provisioning and configuration management
- Deploy and monitor system performance and health
- Administer resource scheduling software
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues
- Apply networking and security best practices including firewall configurations and access controls
- Maintain system configuration, procedure, and troubleshooting documentation
