About the Role
You will own and improve virtualization infrastructure, processes, and standards. You will design, implement, configure, and maintain OpenStack clouds; automate repetitive tasks; and resolve complex compute, storage, and networking issues. You will coach engineers, investigate outages, and participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Expert-level OpenStack administration
- Knowledge of networking, storage, Linux, and virtualization fundamentals
- Infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible
- Scripting or coding with Python, Golang, and Bash
- Server hardware administration and virtual machine deployment experience
- Written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Own and improve virtualization infrastructure, processes, and standards
- Automate repetitive manual tasks
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain OpenStack clouds
- Diagnose and resolve complex OpenStack compute, storage, and networking issues
- Support platform users
- Coach engineers on best practices and investigate outages
- Resolve critical production issues as part of an on-call rotation
