About the Role
You will provide legal advice and support on a wide range of commercial agreements, regulatory matters, and corporate governance issues. You will lead and manage relationships with external legal advisers and regulators, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations across key markets including Hong Kong and the UK. You will draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents critical to business operations. You will support product development by advising on regulatory risks and legal requirements. You will manage legal risks and develop policies to promote legal and regulatory compliance within the organisation, and oversee dispute resolution and manage any legal proceedings as necessary.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with admission to practice in Hong Kong, the UK, or equivalent jurisdiction
- 3+ years of legal experience, preferably within fintech, financial services, or technology sectors
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks applicable to fintech and payments in Hong Kong and the UK
- Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High ethical standards and professional integrity
