About the Role
You will establish the internal legal function, processes, policies, and governance. You will draft, review, and negotiate agreements; advise product, operations, commercial, finance, and compliance functions; coordinate financial and crypto regulatory matters; work with external counsel; assess risks; and automate legal processes using AI.
Requirements
- Law degree and active Brazilian Bar Association registration
- Three to five years of experience in corporate law, contracts, financial regulation, or crypto
- Clear written and verbal communication, organization, and technical documentation skills
- Legal diagnostic ability, business perspective, and agile decision-making
- Interest in automation, technology, and AI applied to legal work
- Intermediate or advanced English
Responsibilities
- Establish the internal legal function and define processes, policies, and governance
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, partnership, supplier, and customer contracts
- Provide legal support to product, operations, commercial, finance, and compliance functions
- Coordinate regulatory matters involving international payments, foreign exchange, cryptoassets, blockchain, and Bacen
- Liaise with external law firms in Brazil, the United States, and Argentina
- Support KYC, AML, internal risk policies, and controls
- Conduct risk analysis, issue legal opinions, interpret regulations, and provide strategic leadership support
- Contribute to legal-process and documentation automation using AI
