About the Role
You will lead development and operation of an NGS analysis platform, build scalable analysis pipelines, partner on assay design and validation, and translate sequencing data into biological and regulatory-ready insights. You will establish reproducible computational practices and mentor a bioinformatics and data science team.
Requirements
- PhD or MS in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
- PhD with 5+ years or MS with 7+ years of relevant industry experience
- NGS assay design, analysis, and interpretation expertise
- Python programming and quantitative analysis skills
- Experimental-science partnership experience
- Scientific leadership and mentoring experience
- Scalable, reproducible computational workflow experience
- Ongoing United States work authorization without employer sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Lead development and operation of the NGS analysis platform
- Develop scalable sequencing-analysis pipelines and methods
- Partner with wet-lab teams on assay design, testing, troubleshooting, and validation
- Lead computational characterization of gene-editor activity and specificity
- Translate sequencing data into biological insights and regulatory-ready analyses
- Curate datasets for model training and evaluation
- Establish reproducible validation, testing, documentation, and code review practices
- Recruit, mentor, and develop bioinformatics and data science staff
