About the Role
You lead a small team of Cloud Platform Engineers by providing technical direction, mentorship, and hands-on leadership. You design, manage, and continuously improve a secure, scalable, and highly available cloud-native platform on Microsoft Azure. You own Azure Kubernetes Service environments, including architecture, lifecycle management, upgrades, security hardening, capacity planning, and operational excellence. You administer GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps, establish observability with Grafana, Prometheus, and Azure Monitor, and improve developer productivity through Internal Development Platform capabilities. You support compliance activities, drive infrastructure-as-code and automation, and maintain the technical quality and long-term evolution of cloud platforms and services.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software development, development operations, and release management
- 3+ years of experience in team leadership
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud architecture best practices
- Experience building cloud solutions in highly regulated environments
- Hands-on experience with Terraform
- Shell scripting experience
- Experience with Git-based workflows
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines
- Enthusiasm for blockchain technologies
- Excellent communication skills
- Collaborative mindset
- Fluent English at more than B2 level
- German is a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Cloud Platform Engineers
- Provide technical direction, mentorship, and hands-on leadership
- Design and improve the cloud-native platform on Microsoft Azure
- Manage Azure Kubernetes Service environments
- Perform cluster architecture, lifecycle management, upgrades, security hardening, and capacity planning
- Administer and optimize GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps services
- Establish observability using Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Monitor, and related tools
- Improve monitoring, alerting, logging, and performance insights
- Improve developer productivity and platform reliability through Internal Development Platform capabilities
- Support compliance requirements related to security, risk management, business continuity, incident management, ICT outsourcing, and governance
- Drive infrastructure-as-code, automation, standardization, and continuous improvement
- Take technical ownership of cloud-based platforms and services
