About the Role
You will lead electrical engineers designing, building, and maintaining facility power systems. You will develop specifications, troubleshoot electrical equipment, coordinate installations and utility activities, evaluate power systems, ensure code compliance, and work across engineering disciplines on infrastructure projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or another engineering discipline
- 3+ years of professional experience with electrical projects, power distribution systems, switchgear, UPS systems, or generators
- Electrical design and specification knowledge
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical components and systems
- Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and regulations
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of electrical engineers
- Develop electrical designs and specifications for facility power systems
- Design power distribution, switchgear, motor control, lighting, UPS, generators, transfer switches, monitoring, grounding, fire alarm, and lightning protection systems
- Support technicians troubleshooting electrical equipment and controllers
- Support the design, operation, and troubleshooting of facility electrical systems
- Perform load-flow analysis and electrical equipment evaluation
- Ensure equipment interfaces properly with mechanical and electrical systems
- Coordinate electrical installation and maintenance activities with local utilities
- Ensure designs and installations conform to applicable codes and regulations
- Perform code review and analysis using applicable NFPA, AFSPCMAN, and IBC requirements
